The band Kansas says all we are is dust in the wind, but what about those living in southern California?

The Mother Nature's heavy winds are bringing in hundreds to thousands of tumbleweeds, and many of which are piling up in the yards of homeowners.

Officials say open fields are to blame for the problem, and the homes are the only thing stopping them from rolling straight onto the set of a western film.

Nick Dobis posted a video to Twitter, showing that the tumbleweeds have piled up to the second story of some homes.

Some residents were trapped in their homes for hours before being rescued by their local Code Enforcement Division.

One resident suggested that someone make a 20 foot tumbleweed snowman, but the town isn't off the hook just yet.

If the weather reports are correct, another gust of high winds is predicted to sweep through the area in the coming days.
