Were you one of the unfortunate people who were unable to land a coveted Hatchimals toy on Sunday? You might be in luck.

A Toys "R" Us spokesperson said on Monday that the toy chain will receive more Hatchimals shipments during the holidays. Unlike Sunday's nationwide release, stores will release them at different times.

Toys "R" Us encourages consumers to continue calling stores to check the supply of the coveted toy, which has been hard to find at retailers.

On Sunday, lines formed outside Toys "R" Us locations from coast to coast as every store had a limited release of the toy. Unfortunately, supplies went quickly at most stores, leaving parents in the cold.

A Target spokesperson also said it will receive quantities of the hit toy.

"Target is continuing to replenish Hatchimals throughout the season," a Target spokesperson said. "We’ve seen strong demand for this item, and expect they’ll be one of our top toys this holiday season."

Because retailers have extremely limited quantities of the toys, eBay sellers are scooping up the toy and reselling  at 2 to 3 times the retail value. While the typical retail price for a Hatchimal is between $60 and $70, auctions on eBay are going for more than $150.

For instance, one Illinois seller sold one such Hatchimals toy at auction for $164.50 on Thursday. Moments later, another Hatchimals toy went at auction for $173.

What are Hatchimals? It starts as an egg that needs to be nurtured. Once the egg hatches, kids can teach Hatchimals how to talk, walk and dance. You can also unlock games on Hatchimals.

Because of the limited availability of Hatchimals, a number of buy and sell groups have been created on Facebook for consumers.
