Sweet deals for Easter and beyond

With spring’s sweet arrival and Easter just an adorable hippity hop around the corner, aren’t you ready to recharge your life? We thought so.

That’s why you will be delighted to know stores are rolling out the savings in a big way to help you refresh your closet, your home and your garden. Good deals can be found to brighten almost every area of your life.

Let’s take a peek at how to tweak your spring style while saving some hard-earned cash along the way:

APPAREL
Are you ever so bored with the dreary grays, browns and black that so heavily saturated your winter wardrobe? Of course you are. Luckily for all of us, retailers like Target, Kohl’s and Walmart promise to deliver savings and impeccable style for every taste. (Note: Many retailers are marking down spring attire right now to get ready for fall shipments.)

Pops of color are a chic and cheery way to update your closet. Think shoes, scarves and totes in a rainbow of hues.

If your Easter parade this year includes a new dress, then check out what Target has to offer in that department. I am particularly drawn to the fit-and-flare dress, sporting a Marrakech-like print and flirty cut-out detail in the back. This frock simply begs to be smartly finished with a wedge sandal and a touch of feminine charm with butterfly drop earrings.

Spring break is also on many of our minds this time of year, and you can make a huge splash with some great prices on swimwear as you plot out that beach vacation. Opt for a one-piece swimsuit in black as you perfect your backstroke (or, more realistically, your lounging skills on a flotation device) in the pool. The one-piece swimsuit is not only renowned for its universally flattering cut, but also for the other fashionable ways it can be worn.

Take that same one-piece and dress it up with a sarong or cover-up dress, a floppy hat, thongs with just-the-right-dusting of rhinestones, and you have an easy-breezy transition to meet up with friends later in the day for cocktails at the tiki bar.

HOME
Home-improvement projects, no matter what the size, seem so much more doable in the spring. The sunshine alone is a motivator, not to mention the savvy savings you can realize at many stores. And plans for spring entertaining (think Easter brunch or bridal shower) also readily kick up DIY desire.

Ready to update the guest bathroom, for instance? Tackle that project with a fresh coat of paint. Blues, lilacs and grays are just a handful of the colors trending for interior design in 2016. Add a luxurious set of bath towels to up the glamour quotient, or spring for a new vanity to add enduring appeal. Your guests are sure to be impressed and inspired.
