BREVARD COUNTY, Florida — A drug-sniffing dog had to be revived after it searched cruise passengers boarding the Norwegian Epic ship last week.

The ship was hosting "Holy Ship!", an electronic dance music experience. More than a dozen people were arrested for attempting to take drugs onboard, Newsweek reports.

The dog was sniffing passengers for the second "Holy Ship!" tour, ahead of it embarking, when the dog fell ill and had to be revived with Narcan. He was then taken to a veterinarian, the Brevard County Sheriff's Department said.

The K-9 had ingested a form of ecstasy, according to an analysis. The dog is now in recovery, Newsweek reports.

Organizers of "Holy Ship!" had warned cruise attendees not to bring drugs aboard and stated there would be "zero tolerance" for those who attempted. Searches ahead of boarding had been announced.
