One of the victims injured in Sunday night's shooting in Las Vegas is lucky to be alive, thanks to his wallet.

Bill Robinson was at the Route 91 concert on the Las Vegas strip on Sunday with his friends when shots rang out. Minutes after the attack, Robinson texted his father, Bill Sr. of Scottsdale, Arizona.

"Dad, I've been shot. I'm okay. Headed to the Hospital," the messages read.

Bill Robinson Sr. received the messages before the first news reports even broke. Though he had been shot in the hip, Bill Robinson, Jr. was able to escape the concert venue and flag down a car and get a ride to the hospital.

When he got to the hospital, Bill Robinson Jr. realized the round had struck his wallet. The angle of the bullet cause it to lodge in his wallet. He still has the bullet, along with the bloody hundred dollar bills that were also in his wallet.

"He's just shook up, obviously as you would be," Bill Robinson Sr. said of his son. "Just so much hate, I just can't understand the people...who have no reason to hate."
