If you missed out on January's Super Blood Wolf Moon, you'll have another oddly-named, lunar phenomenon to catch this week.

The Super Snow Moon is set to take over the night sky overnight from Monday, Feb. 18 to Tuesday, Feb. 19, with its peak at 10:53 a.m. ET Tuesday, according to Old Farmer's Almanac . February's event is said to be the year's brightest.

February's supermoon will be the second of three supermoon events set for 2019, with another one set on March 20 just hours after the spring equinox.

And Tuesday's supermoon should be photo-worthy. The supermoon event occurs as the moon is at its closest point in its orbit to Earth. The moon's diameter will appear about 7 percent larger than an ordinary full moon and 15 percent brighter.

The "snow moon" isn't the only name for this special full moon in February. It is also nicknamed the "hunger moon," "storm moon," "bone moon," and "dog moon."
