More than half of Americans put off making important financial decisions, according to survey

Do you put off paying important financial bills such as? Turns out, you're not alone. 

Seven in every 10 Americans postpone making financial decisions, according to findings released from a research project by Principal Financial Group.  It's mostly because people don't feel informed enough to make a decision.

Those who do not feel confident about their finances are 64 percent more likely to postpone making major decisions than those who are confident, regardless of their income.

There's good news though. Once people spend time learning about financial planning, they’re 75 percent more likely to be confident in their financial future
