NASHVILLE, Tenn. - On Friday, December 7, Kid Rock made a call to the Walmart on Dickerson Pike in Nashville saying that he would like to pay off all of the customers' remaining layaway balances.
Kid Rock said on Twitter that he was following director Tyler Perry's lead.

Perry originally posted a Twitter video, saying he had paid off the layaway balances at two Georgia locations.

Employees at this Walmart posted on the store's Facebook page afterwards, thanking Kid Rock for his kind and charitable action.
The employees announced that Kid Rock had ultimately helped about 350 Nashville families in total.
