Indonesia has raised the alert level for the volcano that triggered a devastating tsunami on Saturday. That tsunami killed at least 430 people and left tens of thousands displaced.

Indonesia's disaster management agency said Thursday that the alert for the Anak Krakatau volcano has been raised to three — the second-highest level possible.

The volcano has erupted almost every day since September, but those eruptions have, for the most part, been small.

Part of the volcano appeared to collapse after an eruption on Saturday, leading to an underwater landslide that triggered the deadly tsunami.

Officials say the volcano's eruptions this past week have been accompanied by spewing lava and "hot clouds" that have led to falling ash. Indonesia is warning people to stay at least three miles away from the volcano's crater peak. Officials are also urging the community not to "carry out activities" on or near the coast in case of another tsunami.

CNN reports thousands of people are being evacuated following the tsunami and flights around the volcano are being rerouted.
