It’s no secret that Democratic presidential nominee Hillary Clinton is a fan of Adele – and it appears the feeling is mutual.

During a concert in Miami on Tuesday, Adele gave Clinton an unexpected endorsement in what some have referred to as a birthday present for the former Secretary of State, who turned 69 on Wednesday.

The move really struck Clinton, who later discussed her reaction with SiriusXM’s Mark Thompson, according to Time.

“I went to the Adele concert after we finished our day of campaigning in Florida and I was stunned and thrilled because I’m a huge fan of hers and it meant a lot to me that she said something so positive,” Clinton said.

As previously reported, the endorsement came after Adele asked the crowd if they were excited about the election, noting, “I am English, but what happens in America affects me too.”

Referring to Trump, Adele added, “Don’t vote for him, that’s all I’m saying.”

Adele joins a handful of other Clinton celebrity endorsements, including ones from Katy Perry and Jay Z.
