A Kentucky man was arrested Sunday after allegedly stabbing his father during a morning service at church.
Police in the town of Bowling Green said 21-year-old Ethan Buckley has been charged with first-degree assault and domestic violence.
According to WBKO, congregation members and security workers at Hillvue Heights Church subdued Buckley after the incident, which took place during the 9:30 a.m. service. It happened just before the altar call was given.
The victim, who has not been identified, has been hospitalized with undisclosed injuries. His condition was not immediately clear.
Citing members of the congregation, WBKO reports that the two were new to the church and claimed to be visiting from Arkansas.
No other injuries were reported.
