Make sure to strap on that seatbelt before you hop in the car.

Beginning Monday, May 14, the Click it or Ticket campaign is buckling down on those who'd rather not buckle up when hopping in their car.

It's a combined effort of the Pima County Sheriff’s Department and the Governor’s Office of Highway Safety, and it's to enforce Arizona’s seat belt and child safety seat laws.

Don't be alarmed if you see extra patrols on the roads. They're only out and about to make sure you and your children are safe on the roads.

To get an idea of how important it is to buckle up, there were 333 deaths in Arizona related to not using safety devices in 2016.

The Click it or Ticket campaign will run until June.
