Chelsea Clinton, Ivanka Trump decry reports about Malia Obama's personal life

After reports circulated this week that President Barack Obama's daughter Malia was seen on Harvard's campus smoking and kissing a man, Chelsea Clinton and Ivanka Trump blasted the reports.

The eldest daughter of President Obama, Malia is a freshman at Harvard. The 19-year-old college student enrolled at the Ivy League school earlier this year after taking a "gap year" after graduating from high school.

"Malia Obama should be allowed the same privacy as her school aged peers. She is a young adult and private citizen, and should be OFF limits," Trump tweeted on Friday.

"Malia Obama’s private life, as a young woman, a college student, a private citizen, should not be your clickbait. Be better," Clinton tweeted.

Clinton has come to the defense of members of the First Family in the past. In August, she decried a report about Barron Trump's wardrobe.

"It's high time the media & everyone leave Barron Trump alone & let him have the private childhood he deserves," Clinton tweeted.
