Posted

Californians had a bit of a rocky Christmas holiday.

According to the United States Geological Survey (USGS), the state of California experienced nine earthquakes between Tuesday and Wednesday. An additional earthquake was measured off the California coast in the Pacific Ocean.

The largest earthquake measured at a 3.3 magnitude at about 1:30 a.m. Tuesday morning. The epicenter of that quake was recorded just over a mile west of Cobb, California, located in the northern part of the state.

All other earthquakes recorded reached at least 2.5 magnitude.

No significant damage or injuries were reported from the earthquakes.

According to the Sacramento Bee, the California earthquakes came after a 6.3 magnitude earthquake as measured off the Canadian coast west of Vancouver on Christmas eve.
