'Glee' actor pleads guilty on child porn charge

Mark Salling, a former cast member on the hit TV show "Glee," pleaded guilty on Wednesday to a charge of child pornography possession, the Los Angeles Times reported

As part of a plea agreement, Salling could spend up to 20 years in prison after admitting he had a cache of child pornography. He will also have to register as a sex offender after his sentence. 

According to the LA Times, Salling admitted to possessing 50,000 images of child pornography on his computer. He also possessed 4,000 photos and 1,600 videos on a thumb drive, Salling admitted in the plea agreement. 

A woman Salling was in a relationship with flagged authorities after Salling showed the woman child porn.

Salling, 35, was a main cast member on "Glee" during the show's first four season, portraying Noah "Puck" Puckerman. Salling appeared in a total of 81 episodes, earning a Screen Actors Guild Award for Outstanding Performance by an Ensemble in a Comedy Series. He also was nominated for three additional Screen Actors Guild Awards, and a pair of Teen Choice Awards.
