MCSO served a search warrant at the home near 348th Avenue.
Detectives say they received an anonymous tip about the illegal operation several weeks ago. They asked the owners to clean up their act, but when they returned nothing had been done.
Sheriff Joe Arpaio says normally he's forced to go through the court system to get the dogs, but this time the owners handed them over right away.
"When you have these puppy mills uncontrolled, and you're not treating the animals properly, who really suffers" It's the dogs that are suffering, and the owners are making money," said Sheriff Arpaio.
The owners are facing animal neglect charges; possibly one for each dog.
The dogs will eventually be up for adoption at the Sheriff's MASH unit. You can call their number 602-876-1212 or email MASH@MCSO.maricopa.gov.
