The Republican and Democratic candidates for the U.S. Senate in Arizona took part in ASU's pregame festivities before the Sun Devils' Homecoming game vs. No. 15 Utah on Saturday.
Republican candidate Martha McSally, who frequently sings the national anthem at sporting events, sang the anthem before Saturday's game. Democratic candidate Kyrsten Sinema displayed the ASU "Forks Up" hand sign before conducting the pregame coin toss.
ASU also had a C-17 flyover following the anthem.

Not my best work but here's US Senate candidate Kyrsten Sinema doing the pregame coin toss honors. Her opponent Martha McSally sang the national anthem. pic.twitter.com/tpTrGMN19k

The latest ABC15 poll shows an extremely tight race between Sinema and McSally. That poll had McSally with a 7-point lead over Sinema, 52 percent to 45 percent.
McSally or Sinema will become the first female U.S. Senator to represent Arizona, replacing retiring GOP Senator Jeff Flake.
