Legendary UA basketball coach Lute Olson held his annual basketball camp today. The youth camps are extremely popular and are often sold out. Sunday they saw the highest turnout ever with more than 170 kids enrolled.
Lute has attended at least one class in each session his chance to teach a valuable lesson to kids.
“I think it's really important that they get involved in something whether it be sports or music whatever it may be,” said Olson. “Because if they are involved in other things there’s going to be less chance they'll be on the street corner doing things they shouldn't do.”
Olson coached the men's basketball team at University of Arizona for 25 years; leading them to the NCAA tournament 23 consecutive years.
