TUCSON, Ariz. — Fire crews will begin burning wood piles on Mount Lemmon Feb. 11-15.
This is to remove excess vegetation and to prevent wildfires.
Burning will happen along Catalina Highway, in Marshall Gulch, Sabino Work Center, Summerhaven and Whitetail Campground.
Smoke may be seen from Catalina, Oracle, Summerhaven, and Tucson. No closures are anticipated.
Motorists and recreationists are advised to use caution.
Firefighters and fire engines will be present on and near roads, trails, and recreation areas.
