A judge has ordered a Tucson woman to pay a $30,000 judgment for providing fraudulent legal services.
Commissioner Lee Ann Roads of Pima County Superior Court also barred Ofelia Olivas Lizarraga and her firm, Multiservicios Olivas LLC, from providing or advertising legal services without having all licenses required for practicing law in Arizona.
Roads issued the judgment on Jan. 26 at the request of the Arizona Attorney General's Office, which said it began receiving complaints about Lizarraga in 2014.
The office alleged in a 2015 lawsuit that Lizarraga falsely represented that she was qualified and authorized to provide legal advice and prepare legal documents in immigration, divorce and other legal matters.
The $30,000 judgment includes consumer restitution, penalties and attorney's fees and costs.
