Deputies from the Cochise County Sheriff's Office have arrested a man after they say he shot a woman in the face in Sierra Vista.

46-year-old Eric Doug Bryan was arrested after a four-hour standoff at the Grand Canyon Mobile Home Park on Monday.

Authorities say at 2 a.m. they received a report of a shooting at a residence in the 200 block of North 3rd Street.

Upon arrival, deputies located 30-year-old Marybeth Ray, who suffered a gunshot wound to the head/face area.

Ray was transported to a Tucson hospital for treatment and is currently in intensive care.

Deputies say Bryan fired one shot inside the residence before leaving and then fired more shots into the trailer which struck Ray.

After gathering more information at the home, authorities then responded to the Motel 6 on Fry Boulevard where Bryan was believed to be.

Authorities were not able to locate Bryan but did find the weapon believed to be used in the shooting along with other items of evidence of criminal activity.

Bryan was later identified in the afternoon by a Sierra Vista police officer who spotted him walking in the area of the mobile home park on Carmichael Avenue, south of Fry Boulevard.

A large police presence was then summoned including the Sheriff's Office, Sierra Vista police, and the Fry Fire Department.

The Cochise County Sheriff's Office Assist Team also responded to the scene and blocked entrances to the mobile home park as SWAT members negotiated with Bryan.

Just before 4 p.m. he was taken into custody without incident.

Bryan was booked into the Cochise County Jail on 2 counts of Attempted 1st Degree Murder, 3 counts of Aggravated Assault, 1 count of Burglary in the 1st Degree, 4 counts of Endangerment and 2 counts of Prohibited Possessor.

He will make an initial court appearance at 10:30 a.m. on Tuesday.
