PHOENIX - If you have a car in a repair shop, you know how frustrating it can be.

For Sibylle Clanton, her car is her main source of transportation. She said not having it for three days was rough.

The issue involved periodic stalling, even while at higher speeds.

Sibylle says she paid $336 and got the car back -- and she says a couple of days later, she had the same problem.

This time, she took the car to the dealership.

They had a surprise for her: the shop had taken the car to the dealership as well, and the dealer said the repair was part of a recall.

So there should have been no charge.

The dealership was able to fix the issue this time.

Now, Sibylle wanted that money back from the shop, saying the repair should not have cost her anything.

When she couldn't get help, Sibylle let me know and the Let Joe Know/Better Business Bureau problem-solving team took over.

Volunteer Cathy got the case, talked with the shop and the dealer, and three days later, Sibylle got back every penny.

She says she's "ecstatic" and that the amount was huge for her since she's living on her social security payments.

And about those recalls -- the repairs should be free! Click hereto see if there's a safety recall on your car.
