TUCSON, Ariz. — A teen girl is hospitalized after she was hit by gunfire on the south side of Tucson Friday afternoon.
Tucson Police say it happened sometime after 2 p.m. on the 6200 block of South Campbell Avenue, near Bilby Road, near Sunnyside High School. When officers arrived, they found the teenage girl injured.
Police say no one else was hurt in the incident and say the victim's injuries aren't life-threatening.
Police initially identified the victim as a woman in her early 20s, but confirmed later the victim was a teenage girl.
Investigators are asking anyone with information to call 911, or 88-CRIME.
