TUCSON, Ariz. — The University of Arizona is helping military members transition form life on the battle field to life in the classroom.
It's called the Warrior-Scholar Project. The two week program aims to get service members ready to enroll in college.
Program leaders say a challenge for many veterans and enlisted service members is remembering how to learn.
Jessica Nelson Warrior-Scholar Project says "Kinda getting that boot camp style where you're kinda forced to not think about what you're doing and you're just doing it. I took that mentality with me when I went back to school."
The camp is run by a team of student veterans, and taught by professors and graduate students with the university.
