A recount shows incumbent Kevin Dahl is still the winner of the Democratic primary for Tucson City Council Ward 3
The victory margin over challenger Sadie Shaw was 19 votes, the same as the original count.
A recall was automatic with the vote margin so tight, but in a separate lawsuit Shaw asked a judge to throw out the election and do it over.
Her case was based on the idea that errors by the Pima County Recorder affected the race.
More than 300 ballots were sent to members of the wrong party - critical in a primary where party affiliation is key.
Judge Wayne Yehling decided mistakes were made, but none serious enough to justify the rare step of ordering a new election.
A different judge oversaw the recount. Judge Cynthia Kuhn formally received the recount results Friday morning.
