TUCSON (KGUN9-TV) - Do you want to vote in the Presidential Preference Election on March 22? If you do, time is running out to register.

Pima County Recorder F. Ann Rodriguez want to remind voters that anyone who wants to participate in the Presidential Preference Election must be registered with the same political party affiliation as the candidate they want to vote for.

Democratic, Republican, and Green Party are the political parties participating in this election.

Voters registered as Independents, or Party Not Designated can participate in the upcoming March 22 Presidential Preference Election if they re-register as a Republican, a Democrat or a Green Party.

Voters must change their registration no later than midnight on February 22. After the election, voters can re-register as an Independent or Party Not Designated.

Rodriguez says her office has received a lot of questions about whether the Arizona Primary Law applies in this election. The March 22 election is not a primary.

You can update your voter registration at servicearizona.com.  For more information, visit the Pima County Recorder’s website or call the office at (520) 724-4330.
