TUCSON (KGUN9-TV) Want to go to the Final Four?
Some Wildcat fans are optimistic the team will advance to the National Championship game, and experts say if you wait to buy tickets they'll get more expensive.
Dawn Rogers is the executive director of the 2017 NCAA Phoenix Final Four local organizing committee. Rogers says you can buy tickets through PrimeSport, which is the official NCAA ticket provider. The great thing about ticket market is there are always tickets to buy, Rogers says, it just depends on how much you want to pay for them.
As of Monday afternoon, tickets on PrimeSport for the Final Four semifinal games range from $259 to $3,225. Tickets for the National Championship game were between $190 and around $3,200.
The NCAA does give a block of tickets to the schools who advance to the Final Four. According to the U of A website, the school will get 3,300 tickets to the final three games. About 500 will go to the players families, the President's office and other departments at the university. The rest will be given to Wildcat Club members, which are donors to the athletic department, and are distributed based on a priority point system.
The U of A will not know who will be in the Final Four for two more weeks. If you buy tickets through PrimeSport, you can always sell them back to someone else through what's called the Fan Exchange.
