Check your paystub because wages got more than three percent higher in the third quarter this year.
The labor department said Wednesday that wages at salaries went up 3.1 percent. That's compared to the third quarter of 2017 and is the biggest increase since 2008.
Numbers also show it is getting more expensive for companies to employ people. Experts say it's a sign of inflation.
