TUCSON, Ariz. — The submissions are in, and now it's time to vote.

The Arizona Department of Transportation announced the nominees Tuesday for its "safety message contest," which asked Arizonans to come up with their cleverest, wittiest ideas for overhead signs across the state.

Among the 15 nominees ADOT selected: "Drive like the person your dog thinks you are," and "Only cars should be tired on the road."

ADOT started accepting nominations late last month. You can vote for your favorite on their website, and the top two vote-getters by May 20 will be displayed on signs across the state.
