TUCSON, Ariz. - The Southern Arizona VA Health Care System is in need of drivers to help take veterans in Nogales and Green Valley to medical appointments in Tucson.

Last year, more than 2,500 rides were given to those in need.

Now the organization is looking to expand and seeking at least 10 volunteers.

Drivers must be at least 18 years old and will be required to pass a physical.

The volunteers will have flexible schedules and be trained.

Those who participate should expect to commit to at least one year of service, driving a minimum of four hours. They will be offered a free meal at the Tucson VA.
