Streets near the University of Arizona's main gate were closed briefly Saturday night after someone found a suspicious item.
Police closed University Blvd. between Euclid Ave. and Park Ave. just after 7:30 p.m., 30 minutes before the start of the Wildcats' homecoming football game against Stanford.
An investigation determined the item was not a threat and authorities re-opened University just after 8:00 p.m.
