UAPD investigating death of male student

TUCSON, Ariz. — The University of Arizona Police Department is investigating the death of a male student after he fell from a walkway Friday morning.

According to UAPD, officers responded to Posada San Pedro residence hall at 2:37 a.m. where the student was unresponsive inside the courtyard.

The victim had signs of trauma consistent with the fall and was transported to a local hospital by TFD. He later died at 6:13 a.m.

The students identity has not been made public, but his family was notified.

UAPD says this is not related to any ongoing threat on campus.

UAPD detectives are continuing to investigate.
