TUCSON, Ariz. — The University of Arizona brought home the most-improved prize in this year's zero waste challenge.

The campus-wide effort brought together several groups seeking to bring the amount of waste generated at Arizona Stadium as close to zero as posssible. More than 100 students took part in the comprehensive cleanup effort.

The success of this zero-waste effort will impact how UA handles waste management at future events. The school will be among the honorees at the PAC-12 sustainability conference, which takes place June 25-26 at the University of Washington.
