Football season is back, and it was evident that many University of Arizona fans were very excited for this moment to come. The first of many tailgates of the season filled the U of A Mall with Wildcat red and blue, sizzling grills, games, music, and "bear down" chants.

The Wildcats take on the Northern Arizona University Lumberjacks in their home opener, a game many fans said they should and would easily win.

However, despite most thinking they'd win their opener, many people project the Wildcats to finish dead last in the Pac-12 South. Some at the tailgate agreed, saying it'll be a season for "rebuilding," while others feel it'll be a good one. A few fans told KGUN9's Max Darrow they expect the team to win at least 6 games, and they hope that includes a trip to a bowl at the end of the season.
The next game is another home game on Sept. 9 at 7:30, versus Houston.
