UA commencement ceremony this Friday

The University of Arizona will host the 152nd Commencement Ceremony on Friday, May 13.
 
There are approximately 6,000 eligible graduates in the spring 2016 graduating class including over 4,500 bachelor's degrees, 1,100 graduate degrees, and almost 300 professional degrees.
 
U.S. Surgeon General Vivek Murthy will serve as this years commencement speaker. Murthy believes in improving care and building coalitions, having devoted his career to the enhancement of global public health through education, service, clinical care and entrepreneurship.
 
UA Commencement begins at 7:30 p.m. and will be held at Arizona Stadium located at 1 National Championship Drive. Gates open to the public at 5:30 p.m.
 
Parking garages and surface lots are available and are all within walking distance to the stadium. The UA Cat Tran shuttle and UA Golf Cart Service will be available.  Disabled parking will be available at the Cherry Avenue Garage
 
Game-day rules for Arizona Stadium will be enforced. Ceremony attendees must abide by the UA's clear bag policy for entry into the stadium: No outside containers, large bags, backpacks, or parcels will be permitted and all in-hand items must be placed in an appropriate and approved clear bag.
 
The highest temperatures of the year are expected on Friday. Attendees are asked to plan accordingly and dress for the weather.  Water will be available for free and for purchase. Attendees can bring in new, sealed plastic water bottles.
