UPDATE (5:15 p.m.)

The Tucson Police Department confirmed two people were found deceased in a house in the 2800 block of north Desert Avenue.

Police said that when officers arrived they located a deceased man and woman, both with apparent gunshot trauma.

The female has been identified as 47-year-old Michelle Ohnesorgen Johnson.

The male has been identified as 48-year-old Michael Martinez Duran.

Officers and detectives conducted interviews and collected evidence at the scene.

"Investigators learned that Michelle and Michael were involved in an intimate relationship with a documented history of domestic violence," police said.

Police are investigating this as a "murder-suicide."

Two people were found dead in a home near East Glenn Street and North Swan Road, Monday.

According to a statement from the Pima County Attorney's Office, a defendant that their office was prosecuting for two felony cases regarding domestic violence strangulation is now reported to have killed the same victim and then killed himself.

They added that in this case, they argued and secured a bond to keep him in jail, but the defendant returned to court asking for a second chance to be released, and the Pima County Attorney's Office objected due to their "grave concerns that the defendant's violence was escalating."
