Less than a week away from the start of school, Tucson Unified School District tackled bullying at its "Impact Tucson" forum today.

The forum took place at Palo Verde High School Saturday.

TUSD and Justice 4 America invited the community to attend.

Parents showed up to find out how the district is addressing discipline issues this upcoming school year.

"We want our schools to be safe. We want our kids to know they're loved and cared for. We want that. And we'll deal with those tough situations, but we need to take a look at the full spectrum of how we deal with those situations. There is not a one size fits all solution," Superintendent H.T. Sanchez said.

The forum included workshops for parents, students and teachers on restorative practices designed to foster positive school environments.
