Southern Arizona residents celebrated Mexican Independence Day Sunday.
The Presidio Museum, 196 N. Court Ave. hosted an event to pay tribute to Mexico breaking away from Spain in 1821.
Re-enactors dressed as Mexican soldiers were at the museum today, where celebrators made crafts and watched presentations about Mexican history from 1821 to 1856.
