Verla Ferguson celebrated her 100th birthday on Saturday with a party at the Udall Community Center.
Her friends and family came together to celebrate the big day. One of the guests included a neighbor she has known for 50 years.
Ferguson first came to Tucson in 1944 and worked as a hairdresser for 40 years.
Now, she spends her time knitting, crocheting, and playing cards at the community center. She also said she exercises twice a week.
