A local tattoo artist will be competing on the national stage in a reality television show.
Anthony Michaels works at Metro Tattoo on Speedway Blvd. He has been named a finalist on Spike TV's "Ink Master Revenge" season seven.
Over the last 12 weeks Michaels has gone against some of the best tattoo artists in the country.
"We've had someone from Tucson be on the competition before and it didn't work out too well. So that was always on the back of my mind on top of me being hard on myself. I was always wondering what are people going to think. Are they going to be happy? Are they going to be proud," Michaels told KGUN9.
If Michaels wins the title, he will win a $100,000 prize and a spread in Ink magazine.
The show will air on Spike TV on Tuesday night. Michaels is hoping fans rally behind him by casting votes in his favor during the finale.
