A Tucson restaurant is joining a national effort to end childhood cancer.

Firebirds Wood Fired Grill at La Encantada will host Alex's Lemonade Stand this weekend to help raise money for the cause.

The restaurant employees are hoping to collect $100,000 by the end of the weekend.

Sergio Pinon, the general manager said it is all to help the kids.

"We want to kelp out. They're children and unfortunately, they're going through this hard time and we are going to do our part to help out," Pinon said.

If you want to buy some lemonade to help out, it is just $3.

The Alex Stand Foundation began in 2000 and has since raised $150 million for research.
