TUCSON, Ariz. -- A new study from WalletHub has ranked the Old Pueblo in the Top 20 most pet-friendly cities in the U.S..
Based on 24 metrics including pet budget, health and wellness and outdoor pet-friendliness, Tucson was 19th among 100 of the largest cities in the country.
When looking at budget, WalletHub looked at veterinary care costs, minimum pet-care provider rate per visit and dog insurance premiums. For the Health & Wellness factor, researches looked at the caretakers, activities and shelters were made avaialble for pets. Weather, dog parks and the areas available for exercise were items considered when it came to Outdoor Pet-Friendliness.
There were other Arizona locations that also made the list.
