Tucson police have identified 28-year-old Juan Baez Hernandez as the man who was pronounced dead at the scene of a fatal vehicle collision on Greasewood Rd. between Speedway and Anklam this morning.
According to Sgt. Pete Dugan with TPD, the area has reopened after being shut down for several hours.
According to a Tucson Police Department media release, Hernandez was driving a gray 2008 Acura.
The other vehicle involved in the head-on collision was a 2004 Chevrolet Avalanche, according to the media release. The driver of this car was uninjured, but the adult woman in the passenger seat was taken to a nearby hospital with serious injuries.
Detectives are continuing to investigate the accident.
