The Tucson Police Department has issued a warning to the public after a woman reported a man pulled her over, handcuffed her, and forced her to sit in his car Saturday night.
The woman told police an unmarked car pulled her over near Broadway Blvd. and Wilmot Road about 8:00 p.m. A man came to her window, told her he was an off-duty officer. He handcuffed her and told her to sit in the backseat of his car before releasing her, the report said.
Police say the man is not an officer.
The woman described him as a white or Hispanic man, in his late 20’s or early 30’s, about 6’ tall. He was driving a gold or bronze four-door sedan with red and blue lights on the dashboard.
