UPDATE (3:44 p.m., April 8):
Tucson Police have identified the man killed while riding a bike on Tanque Verde Road as 37-year-old Anthony Michael Pashano.
According to a news release from TPD, Pashano was riding a bicycle northbound through a private parking lot, when he entered the eastbound lanes of Tanque Verde Road without stopping or yielding to traffic.
He rode into the median eastbound lane facing westbound. A Mustang traveling eastbound on Tanque Verde struck Pashano, who was wearing a bicycle helmet at the time of the crash.
He did not survive, the news release said. The driver of the Mustang was not injured.
Tucson Police determined the driver of the Mustang was not impaired at the time of the crash.
The investigation is ongoing.

Tucson Police posted that East Tanque Verde will have lane closures for an extended period of time due to a fatal bicycle collision.
Drivers should seek out alternate routes.
