Tucson Police are looking for suspects in connection a home invasion call they received this morning.

Pete Dugan of TPD says police responded to a call of a possible burglary at 5:33 a.m. Sunday morning at an apartment complex in the 5500 block of South Forgeus.

Dugan says suspects kicked in the door of the apartment wearing masks and were armed with guns. The occupants of the apartment defended themselves with guns and several shots were fired. A suspect was struck and he is currently at the hospital with serious injuries. Detectives are guarding him at this time.

While shots were being fired a round hit a water main line and apartments below the unit were flooded. Rounds also went through the apartment wall into other units but no one was hurt.

Detectives have determined that this wasn't a random act and the occupants of the home were targeted by these suspects.

If you have any information you are asked to call 9-1-1 or 88-CRIME.
