Tucson Police K9 "JR" retires

Tucson Police K9, "JR," has been retired after ten years of service to the Tucson Police Explosives Ordinance Detection (EOD) and residents of the City of Tucson.

The Black Labrador Retriever was hired by the Tucson Police Department in 2007. He is a credentialed EOD certified K9 due to completing the ATF National Odor Recognition Training School.

JR's ten years of service included 1,200 missions to help keep Tucson safe from explosive hazards.

JR is now spending his time visiting friends and partaking in Sunday barbeque's with his handler Officer Rob McCusker.
