UPDATE (noon, July 1):
An interim complaint obtained by KGUN 9 showed differences between suspect Kendall Harris' statements and eyewitness reports.
The complaint said officers responded to reports of a shooting and arrived to find Castillo's body, with a gunshot wound to the head.
It said Harris called 911, saying he fought Castillo and the gun went off.
The complaint said, according to eyewitnesses, Castillo and Harris were fighting. Witnesses saw Castillo walking away from Harris, and Harris followed him to the street.
Witnesses saw Harris pushing and grabbing Castillo, forcing him to the ground, the complaint said.
Harris stood over Castillo, who was on his back, not attempting to fight, the complaint said.
Harris then shot Castillo in the head, the complaint said. He then asked a bystander to call 911 and made his own call.
According to Harris in the complaint, he was trying to sleep inside of his vehicle when he heard a noise. He confronted Castillo who Harris said had a hammer and a shotgun, the complaint said.
Castillo was unable to break the window, so he pointed the shotgun at Harris and forced him to break it, the complaint said.
Harris managed to walk away and re-enter the vehicle. Castillo came back to the vehicle and threatened to shoot it. He told Harris to throw his vehicle keys and Harris did, the complaint said.
Castillo fired a warning shot into the ground. Harris said he engaged Castillo to get control of the shotgun, the complaint said. Castillo attempted to fire the shotgun, but failed. Harris sat on top of him.
According to the complaint, Harris said Castillo then reached for his waistline. Believing Castillo was pulling another gun, Harris said he shot Castillo with the shotgun, the complaint said.
Witnesses did not observe Castillo reaching for anything while on the ground. The complaint also noted that Castillo didn't have any other weapon on his person.

UPDATE (10:08 a.m., July 1):
Tucson Police have identified the man who was killed Monday on Tucson's south side as 19-year-old Ernie Castillo.
According to a news release from TPD, the suspect was asleep in his car at 11:15 p.m., in the 4300 block of South Sixth Avenue, when he was woken up by the victim. A confrontation ensued, the news release said.
It turned physical and escalated to gunfire, during which time Castillo was shot, the news release said.
Detectives arrested the suspect, identified as 30-year-old Kendall Harris, on suspicion of second-degree murder.
The investigation is ongoing.
