UPDATE (11:57 a.m., July 21): Tucson Police have identified the victim of the north-side shooting over the weekend as 16-year-old Nathan Edward Ramos.
According to a news release from TPD, Ramos was involved in a confrontation with an unknown suspect that escalated into gunfire. Ramos was struck and was pronounced dead at the scene.
The suspect has not yet been located.

Tucson Police are investigating a homicide that took place over the weekend on the city's north side.
According to Tucson Police, the victim died from apparent gunshot trauma at West Kelso Street and North Balboa Avenue.
The shooting took place shortly after midnight on Sunday, July 19.
