TUCSON, Ariz. — The Tucson Police Department is investigating a fatal pedestrian crash that happened on Tucson's east side early Tuesday morning.
Police say 27-year-old Dyllan Bozora was pronounced dead on the scene.
According to police, westbound Speedway was shut down between Rosemont and Santa Rosa and has since reopened.
The driver and a witness stayed at the scene and were interviewed by police. Based on interviews and roadway evidence, detectives determined Bozora was walking westbound in a bike lane and was hit after stepping in front of a pickup truck.
Speed does not appear to be a factor in the crash and the driver showed no signs of impairment. No arrests or citations have been issued.
Anyone with information about the crash is asked to call 88-CRIME.
